Here are some pictures I've used in my classroom!

Biographies, George, and Caterpillars Galore

The end of the year is rapidly approching and I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed!!!  Our four second grade classes are starting our biography unit this week and the students are very excited.  Me on the otherhand, I'm very nervous seeing that this is the biggest project my class has done this year!  They are eager to get started and I'm eager to see their finished projects!  I will keep you all updated on their progress!
This Friday is my first field trip as a teacher! I'm a little nervous!!!!  Our second grade students are very excited to learn all about George Washington Carver.  Growing up in this area, I have been to GWC many times in my life.  However, this will be the second time as an adult and the first time in charge of 23 wonderful second graders!  George Washington Carver was an amazing man who was very smart, so I am glad that my students have an opportunity to see all of his great works and get hands experience while visting his birthplace!
Last but not least, my classroom has been invaded with lovely caterpillars.  Last Wednesday we recieved our shipment of larva.  The students could not wait to see all the caterpillars hatch from their eggs and start growing.  Today, we looked at the caterpillars and out of the mouths of my students, "Miss Wilson, those are fat!"  All I could do was laugh!  They noticed that the food had gone down and the caterpillars were getting bigger.  They can't wait for the cacoons to start forming so that they can have beautiful butterflies!  This is the most exciting science kit I have taught and I think they all love it too!
Hope you all enjoyed your Monday!!!
